No more free Plastic bag

Posted by D#E on March 2, 2009

Starting since last year, Japan has a new rule that when you buy something in the supermarket, you have to pay for the plastic carrier bag.

Of course they need to socialize this before implement it in the whole country. So the starting point of these “Pay for Your Plastic Bag” campaign is different in each region.

Some region already started since last year. My region which is okazaki city has started this since March 2009. Which means it started since yesterday.

So today when I went to the local supermarket I need to bring my own carrier bag or else I would be charged 5 yen per bag that I need. Usually I always need at least 2 plastic bags when I go shopping for food etc. but this time I need to separate the shopping day into several days unless I want to carry a big bag with me when go shopping.

Posted by D#E on February 16, 2009

For you out there that has taken JLPT level 2 last sunday (7 december 2008). I found this website which contains the exam’s answer. BEWARE though because it was written in chinese. It’s not official though , but you could always search for the answer again by looking at the problem.

it’s on the first page of this forum at jlptstudy.com

http://www.jlptstudy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=783&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0&sid=71d84f6d66274153c4caa700df230645

This is my first official 2 kyu attempt and I didn’t study that much, but overall I think I managed to pass this somehow.

I took the test in Aichi Gakuin University here in Japan. Well the official result won’t be given until mid February. So until then, let’s just hope the best for us all ^_^

Posted by D#E on September 15, 2008

sharing pengalaman kerja sedikit

Posted by D#E on March 17, 2008

Ga tau gue termasuk beruntung ato engga tapi yang jelas sepertinya ceritanya too good to be true.

Only in Japan : Penis Festival

Posted by D#E on March 16, 2008

I don’t know bout you but I don’t think I can name another country that could celebrate Penis Day while everyone is socially acceptable.

15 March is the day of Hounen Matsuri (festival of fertility), but because the main Theme is Penis, The popular name of this festival among foreigners is of course… Penis Festival. In 2008, 15 March is saturday. So There I go to watch the show.

This is our main star

pict2661.jpgpict2665.jpg

I went with a group of about 15 people , most of them is american (there is only 3 indonesian in the group including me). At the festival place I feel like I’m not in Japan. Most of the spectators are foreigners. Most of the japanese are the one doing the matsuri and or selling some penis souvenirs and food. When they carry the penis shaped omikoshi we all yell like “LONG LIVE THE PENIS”, or “FOLLOW THE PENIS” and things are so hillarious.

while the guy carry those oversized penis, the women carries a smaller penis and hold them like holding a baby

and of course no penis festival is complete without the penis shaped food

I also spotted a japanese couple enjoying their penis candy

pict2672.jpg

and luckily my favourite okonomiyaki is served too

pict2669.jpg

and of course we also need some souvenirs rite ?

pict2678.jpgpict2677.jpg

I ended up buying charm shaped with penis and woman’s panty

And there’s my review of yesterday’s journey.
